Acrylic painting and photography have always been passions of mine.  Since I was a kid, I either had a camera or paint brush at hand. If I wasn’t anticipating “epic” photo opportunities I was painting. If I was not mixing colorful paints, I was taking a photo to record a painting inspiration. No matter if I am on a family vacation, in the middle of a snow storm, or grocery shopping, I try to never miss an opportunity for a great photo.  I usually have more camera equipment in my purse than girl stuff.

Painting is my favorite medium because the artwork does not have to look a specific way.  It is like when you look at a cloud and it can be one of a dozen things that you see, alternatively that is probably why I love photography, it is supposed to look like exactly like what you see.  I can appreciate a composite but ultimately when I take the shot, I want it to capture a moment in time. I am a purist at heart. I can manipulate anything into artwork including digital media but I prefer to let the viewer know if the primary work was done prior to the camera click or afterward.

I love the sun, the snow, the ocean, and the way light hits misty fog in the morning. I also like to save all critters so I try to use synthetic and vegan friendly materials as often as possible.
